Original Colt 1911 .45 acp Slide and Barrel British Proofed. The slide has had the sight changed out. Slide is marked "NOT ENGLISH MAKE" along with the CROWN over "BV". Many of these pistols arrived in the UK via World War II Lend-Lease programs or were later sold off as surplus and repatriated or commercialized in the UK post-war, where they received standard British proof marks (like a crown over "BV" or "NP") alongside this text. Slide has import marks as it was taken off a pistol. Barrel also shows the Crown proof marks. Bore is shiny with good rifling. See pictures for more information.
