The hammer forging forms the barrel around a precision mandrel and holds the tolerance to .0001". This is much better than the typical broached barrels found elsewhere Note: 5" & 6" .45 barrels are L.H. twist – all others are R.H. twisted

hard material
So far the dozen or so I have used were accurate and hard. Should last a long time. I am pro gunsmith 43 yeras

A small problem with the barrel link pin
A quality barrel for the money but I solved the barrel link pin tightness problem by using a chain saw sharpening file to evenly enlarge the barrel link pin hole.

6 inch 1911 45acp barrel
I have an old very worn Taurus 1911. This barrel did the trick. Fits tight when the pistol is in lock up and shoots nice tight groups. Ordered a barrel link and a barrel link pin also along with a barrel bushing. Link pin was very tight but works well.
