Many known 'Black Knights' roamed Europe with varying degrees of notoriety. Perhaps the most famous was the Polish 'Black Knight' Zawisza, strongly considered as one of the greatest of European knights, or the Black Prince of Wales' or 'Black Prince of Lorn'. While they wore black suits of armor plates and helmets, the Arthurian legend of 'Sir Lancelot', delving into wearing black armor at times to mask his 'station', resonates as a color of Armor used by the mysterious, mercurial figures who would appear and disappear as quickly from the public eye. Our set is made of steel, full size, complete with stand (armature) and 5-1/2" high wooden base on which it mounts. Suit stands on its wood base at 77 inches high, or 71-1/2" high without wood base. This suit comes w/ helmet with visor, real chain mail coif (head piece), which you can display it with , and a beautiful steel Sword with leather grip. Makes for a gorgeous display and will be a center piece of attention and interesting banter when friends come over !
