Named for the brilliant and ferocious Lieutenant faithfully serving Robert the Bruce, James Douglas or 'Lord of Douglas', was known for his dark side of outwitting the English and the savagery of his skillful attacks,... frequently in the dark using black clothing and Armor. We like to think of him as per the Scottish moniker of 'Good Sir Douglas' due to his code of conduct and chivalry by which he lived. Our Suit of Armor is beautifully crafted and made of steel with some brass accents. It is a full size adult set of Armor which comes with a wood base and steel armature to set it up with. The helmet is the Burgonet style with bevor and a blue skirt of a similar, but not exact tartan of the Douglas clan ,can be used for the waist section if you choose to use it. A full size steel Sword with leather bound grip comes with this suit. Suit stands on its wood base at 79" high, and without wood base it stands about 73". This suit makes a gorgeous display and will be a conversation starter for when friends come over ! You may even try to wear it at some point!
