A common 'candle lantern' said to have originated during the Italian Renaissance turf wars in northern Italy, particularly in use by the Sforza forces in the Duchy of Milan, in Sforza castle , and with night watchmen who carried weapons and a staff with the lantern in search of spies and saboteurs on Milan's streets.  Our example has been made in steel, blackened, and with light panels of real 'Cow Horn', meticulously crafted in old world methods long lost. Size is  8.5" x 3" x 3". Safely handles candle sticks up to 6 inches long. Comes with 2" . These look great in your house or along the driveway hanging from trees or stakes, gardens, and  they make for great entertainment lighting ambiance. New.
