This is a fine reproduction of the WWII M1A1 paratrooper stock. Comes complete with handguard.
A folding-stock version of the carbine, the M1A1, was developed after a request for a compact and light infantry arm for airborne troops. The Inland Division of General Motors manufactured 140,000 of them in two product runs in late 1942. They were originally issued to the 82nd and 101st airborne divisions but were later issued to all U.S. Army Airborne units and the U.S. Marine Corps. The folding-stock M1A1 is an unusual design in that the stock is not locked in the open or closed position, but is instead held in place by a spring-loaded cam.
Colors of wood and metal may vary from picture.
Please note: Stock DOES NOT include barrel retaining spring.
Will NOT fit M1 Universal Carbines.
Some minor fitting may be required.

Folding stock m1 carbine
Fit perfect and looks just like the original
-
well built-with one exception-the holder for the issue oiler behind the leather pad is too big and as a clamp type device will not hold the oiler-other than that its good except the original m1a1 had a two rivet handguard
