Every Reason Our 1911 Mags Are Better
Jul 7th 2026
If there’s one thing any range bag could use more of, it’s magazines. As one of the most popular handguns in the country, and the one with (probably) the most illustrious history, the 1911 keeps 1911 mags in demand.
It also just so happens that you landed right at the place where the best 1911 mags in the industry are sold, hands down. And if you need that claim substantiated, here’s what makes our 1911 mags the best, broken down.
- The body tooling results in lower stresses as a result of advanced production processes. These 1911 mags are made on a computer-controlled high-speed link press; the follower has 16 stages of tooling and the body has only 6. This process results in less stress on the mag body that delivers a stronger, more durable overall design.
- The mag body is magnetite coated. These 1911 magazines are processed in a hot bath of sodium hydroxide, nitrates and nitrites which converts the surface of the mag body to magnetite. This is a hard, durable iron oxide layer that helps prevent the surface of the mag body from rusting.
- The mag tube is nitrided. In addition to what has been mentioned immediately previously, these magazines are carburized and nitrided, which produces a tough steel core and extremely high surface hardness. As a result, the steel used to make these 1911 magazines offers excellent ductility, flexibility, and fatigue resistance, as well as a very hard, corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant surface. Nitride is also very easy to maintain and offers high permanent dry lubricity. As a result of this process, the magazine is also unlikely to deform as a result of cartridge inertia.
- The feed lip design. These 1911 mags are made with a parallel feed lip design that allows for a proper timed release of the cartridge, and which is designed for semi wadcutters, which can be temperamental with some magazines.
- These 1911 mags are made with steel followers. Some cheap magazines are made with plastic followers, which are more affordable to produce, but which are not as durable, strong, reliable, or long-lasting as steel. Our mags sport strong steel followers and the follower design is rounded, which ensures a higher degree of reliability when feeding.
- High-strength mag springs. The magazine spring is one of the most crucial pieces of any pistol magazine and it is often the part that fails first, and on good mags, the only part that will ever need to be replaced. Our 1911 mags are made with high strength springs that are tested to 20,000 cycles.
- Durable welds. Welding for these 1911 magazines is done using a Yasakawa computer-controlled robotic arm argon arc welder; the welds are so precise you can’t even see the seam weld on the back where the mag tube is welded.
- They’re designed for easier, faster charges. These 1911 magazines feature a design with a dimpled design that overrides the mag catch easily, for faster, smoother magazine charges and potentially faster reloads.
- Compatibility with a wide range of 1911s and clones. One of the best things about these 1911 magazines is that they are compatible with such a wide range of single stack 1911 handguns and 1911 clones. They’re compatible with Government and commercial 1911s, 1911A1s, Commanders, Essex, and Rock Island 1911 pistols, along with many other aftermarket clones and variants.
- Unsurpassable quality control. Quality control checks every specification during the manufacturing process using a 2D/5D video measuring machine. All quality control is done in house using quality control gauges as well.
- The price. Perhaps the most attractive feature of these 1911 magazines is how cheap they are. They are roughly half the price of anything comparable and exhibit considerably better quality. For this price (under 10 dollars) you should be able to stock your range bag not just with a spare or two, but several. Cycle through them and they’ll last longer, plus they’ll last longer.
Word to the Wise: Get a Speedloader
While these 1911 magazines deliver peerless quality, you can save even more time at the range not just by bringing several loaded mags, but by keeping a speedloader in your range bag so that you can load more efficiently and spend more time shooting and less time loading.
