WORLD WAR I PATTERN .45 1911 MAGS WITH LANYARD LOOP
These are rarely seen now a days. Best way to participate in fast combat shooting where you must drop and load mags quickly. Avoids damage to your dropped magazines. WWI Cavalry and vehicle crews would keep 2 or 3 mags on a lanyard for combat purposes! Original mags came with hemp twine so you could tie them to the lanyards individually. These magazines are made on the same automated machinery as our famous magazines shown above. This is the mag to have if you want to be serious about CQB firing and reloading quickly. Very popular for modern combat pistol tournaments. Lanyards sold separately.

1911 magazine with lanyard ring
One of the two magazines fit tightly but well, in my 1911A1 pistol. The other required some work with a small file before it fit tightly. The problem appears to be the simple weld at the rear of the magazine body. It will eventually fit just as well as my other magazines when it has some use on it.
