Original unissued USGI 'Pile' Field Cap MQ1. One of the most important pieces of field gear during the Korean War. This cap could be worn in different configurations and for cold weather, could be worn underneath the M1 helmet which was extremely important for dealing with the extremes of the Korean winter weather . We have been lucky to find a small cache of these stored properly for over 70 years ! Regrettably, we only found U.S. Size 7", but these should be good for head sizes 6-3/4" to 7-1/8"comfortably. These hats are fading fast from surplus circles.
