U.S. Vietnam era 'Mitchell' camouflage  strap used for attaching cargo to the load bearing harness gear including bedrolls, ammo, ponchos, shelter halves , etc.  These straps are in original unissued condition ! The Mitchell camouflage pattern was best remembered for the helmet covers used from the early 1950s through the 1980s and it also saw use throughout Vietnam in uniforms for limited use clandestine operators including some use by 5th Special Forces and indigenous troops. Also pup tents with the Mitchell pattern were produced. Facilitating the supply of Mitchell specialized uniform equipment , were selected Tailors producing in Taiwan & Guam, and purportedly in Okinawa. The helmet covers and the cargo straps were produced in the U.S.
