The U.S. Army 'Butt Pack' was a staple of the USGI and for load bearing gear setups, and while most of these packs are gone now, we decided to make them once again. Why ? Because they are an ideal carry ,utility, stuff sack , with some water protection properties. Originally designated as the 'Field Pack Canvas Combat M-1961. They are perfect for ATV, Motorcyle, Bicycle, Boating uses and nicely fade over time yet are made with durable thick olive drab canvas. The inside is protected by a water protective membrane and original war time marking appear with a U.S.' marking on the outside of the flap and on the inside with contractor information dated 1966. Two original alligator clips on the reverse side and bottom straps stand ready underneath for attaching other gear. The left front also has a series of grommets for attaching standard hook gear. Well made in tribute to the pack that Vietnam GIs came to appreciate.
