U.S. ammunition bandolier for holding Krag ammunition and was also used toward the end of its service life to hold Springfield Rifle .30-06 cartridges. A unique attempt at giving the soldier -'slung over the shoulder' bulk ammo packed into cardboard boxes with a pull away tab on top of each pouch, which was sewn closed to retain the ammunition in place until needed. These bandoliers were used during the Spanish American War, and even reported to be issued as late as WW1 & Nicaraguan and Haitian Chacos War campaigns. These are marked with Frankford Arsenal markings of the period on khaki cotton canvas. First time offered... and very limited. Each unit comes with a bandolier w/shoulder strap, 6 cardboard boxes, 6 tabs, & thread section that you can use to seal the pouches if needed.
