Star Bonifacio Echeverria, S.A. Model Firestar .45 acp Pistol. Surplus pistol in good to very good condition. Has 3.75" barrel with bright bore and strong rifling. Pistols retain 85%+ of its original finish. Finish is called "Starvel" (a matte nickel-plated corrosion-resistant finish). Comes with black rubber grips and one original 6 round extended grip magazine. See pictures for more information.

The Firestar is a compact, reliable and accurate handgun well-suited for backup or concealed carry. Its single-stack design sacrifices the superior magazine capacity of a double-stack, but permits a slim profile prized by many for concealed carry. While heavier than more modern handguns of comparable size made with today's composite materials, many shooters find the added heft provides a more stable shooting platform that improves accuracy. Awarded the 1991 Handgun of the Year by Guns & Ammo magazine, the Firestar series gained a reputation as a highly rugged, reliable, and easily concealable defensive firearm. Because of its solid steel frame, it is quite heavy for its sub-compact size, which many shooters found advantageous for managing the stout kick of a .45 ACP
