The kid who’s fascination with firearms and target practice, propelled him to develop this SMG that helped save a nation during WW2. The Owen SMG is an icon of the Pacific war against Japanese forces. Our steel full size replica pays tribute to Evelyn Owen, who designed the firearm in 1939. So well designed that even the U.S. Marine Corps had thought to adopt it during a supply shortage of SMGs in the Pacific. Offset sights and top feed magazine made this a novel design that was effective from WW2 thru Korea and Vietnam. Redesigned from the ‘Kamabee’ sample sold about 10 years ago, this improved version has removable stock, magazine, sling, and we include a free 6 cell magazine pouch which shows storage wear & slight rust on some snaps, but heck… its FREE with purchase of this display gun.
Not a bad copy but could use some tweaking. The charging handle is very crude, the securing strap around the barrel for the forward grip should have been included. The biggest drawback is camo paint colors which are not even close. I will probably repaint mine.
