    Good product

Recently picked one of these barrels recently. The price is good and in the 2021 AR15 parts market, actually in stock. It is not parkerized contrary to other reviews. However, the SARCO description do NOT list it as parkerized so that is a non-issue. Compared with 2 original 1969 Colt C MPC marked pencil barrels, it has the correct dimensions and profile. The only criticism would be the very slight surface rust on the barrel. Not sure if it happened during shipping or what but a liberal coating of oil and a plastic bag would mitigate this issue for future purchasers that might be off put by a little rust.

M16A1 Pencil Barrel for GI Kit, is a good barrel but missing the grooves required to mount the Colt FSB included in the kit. Any front sight that requires taper pins will not mount

A list of service that can cut the grooves for the taper pins should be included with the order. I sent my 2-barrels to Retro Arms Works, in Warsaw Illinois, where they did an excellent job at $60.00 for each barrel plus shipping. Total cost for two including shipping, was $142.50

Barrel is nice with parkerized surface, unclear on twist rate, more information on specific would be helpful. Overall, nice for money
