The Republic of France issued the M1915 steel helmet to its domestic troops and its 'Colonial Troops'. While it is said that the Islamic troops were provided a helmet badge of the Crescent Moon with RF emblem, other troops from non-Islamic countries were furnished with the elegant 'Anchor Badge with RF' emblem. This included their troops serving from African, South American & Asian countries during WW1. The helmet comes in a similar horizon blue type color, and the badge has been professionally prepared with a slight bronze profile. This emblem was also used by the French Navy until the late 1920s, when it was changed to a simple Anchor emblem. Helmets have a leather liner with a leather chin strap. First time offered !
