French 1873/1892 Revolver Holster with Shoulder Strap

Authentic holster, but securing strap an inch too short... I cut the threads, resewed to the flap, and now a healthy tug secures it. Your Chamelot-Delvigne will thank you for it!

Very attractive, but with a Chamelot Delvigne M1873 nested in the holster, the closure strap was over an inch from reaching the brass stud, and could not be forced to engage. I cut the threads and reattached the strap so that it would almost reach; I then oiled all of the leather, replaced the revolver, and forced the strap to the brass stud. After sitting overnight, I can now open and resecure the flap with one hand. Having experience with replica service holsters, I chose to fix this one myself, instead of returning it. It was nonetheless worth the effort, and I now have an authentic and useable holster.
