Feg Tokagypt Firebird Parabellum 9mm Pistol Serial E-18919. Used surplus pistol in good condition. Frame, slide and barrel have matching numbers. Frame and slide show some wear and also some storage scratches. Black plastic grips are in good condition with some scratches but no cracks. Comes with 1 aftermarket magazine. Neither FEG nor Technika ever delineated a “series” for the Tokagypt (a portmanteau of Tokarev and Egypt). However, pistol experts and gun authors worldwide recognize seven versions. The pistol here is the 5th version named the "FIREBIRD". This version has, in addition to the normal lanyard attachment, a smaller eyelet on the magazine which lacks the knucklerest (original mag not included).The left side of the slide has “FIREBIRD KAL. 9mm”, then an apparently-meaningless three tangent circles inside a circle, then “WEST-GERMANY PARABELLUM” and the serial number behind the trigger. On this Firebird, “a.w.z.” is the importer’s mark of Albin Wahl in Zella-Mehlis, West Germany. The number built is unknown. This version was highly prolific in Europe and is the most commonly-recognized Tokagypt version. The serial numbers are again all out of sequence. Amongst firearms historians, there is debate whether the 5th version was manufactured before or after the 4th.
