AIRES-61 stands for Policía de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, with the "-61" denoting the contract or adoption year. Manufacturered by Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Herstal, Belgium, rather than commercial Browning-labeled imports. Production Year: Manufactured around 1961 (part of an estimated 8,000-pistol contract order fulfilled in the early 1960s). A true collectors piece. See pictures for more details.
