The rarest of the No.4 Mk1 Spike Bayonets.  Originally manufactured by the Singer mnfg. Co. ( of sewing machine fame), in Scotland,  only about 75,000 pcs were made between 1941-42, which is only a fraction of the total spike bayonets manufactured at 5 milllion.  The forging and machining operations ended up being too costly, especially with the special 'Cruciform' blade that it had. All further spike bayonets for the Enfield Rifle were smooth bodied blades with a sharp end and much cheaper to produce. So the 'cruciform' version entered the war  early and it is unknown how many of the 75,000 survived the war.  Our newly manufactured 'Cruciform' bayonets and scabbards have been faithfully reproduced from an original in all , but markings. It fits the #4MK1 Enfield Rifle and Sten Mk5 submachine gun. It has been 15 years since we last had these so now is a good time to obtain one while they are still available.  Blade is 8" long and overall length is @10".
