Solid milsurp quality
I recently purchased an M16A1 reproduction rifle build kit from Brownells. The handguard was okay (they were pretty flimsy on the original rifles) but the A1 stock was Fisher-Price garbage. I literally threw it in the trash and bought the real thing from Sarco. I think this is the second such purchase I have made over the years.
Difference is night and day. Of course, the original milsurp item is at least 50 years old and has been through the ringer, so it’s not going to be as clean and fresh-looking as the reproduction, but the quality is what matters and it’s solid.
I am so glad these are still available. No one is willing, apparently, to make a decent reproduction.

Good, fitting issue that's fixable.
I bought this stock for a retro M16 I'm trying to make and like the used but not completely battered look. I do however have a problem of my A1 spec buffer tube not fitting inside, although it appears there's residue inside that's fixable. Overall QC could be a bit better, but very good stock!

AR15/M16A1 Stock is a Good Value
The stock looked great - no scratches or dents. Trapdoor works easily. I'm very happy with this stock.
