The sling I got has an orange colored paper like finish on the outside. Not at all like the natural leather color shown in the photos.

Bought this for the “don’t care if you lose it” and it’s just as good a quality as the 80 dollar ones you see around. The hooks aren’t exactly correct with their angle but other than that great product !

1907 leather sling w/steel hardware
A very durable sling. For the purest, this is poor in appearance only. The leather is heavier than most , rivets are solid, D-ring is beefy and the keepers are beveled and sewn w/heavy cord. The issues are that the hardware hooks are poorly shaped (they are supposed to be hooks, not bent) and length of hooks are just about 1/8” too long. It loses one star for those reasons only. An excellent repro for serious use, passable for the collector.
