The Winchester Model 97, also known as the Model 97, M97, Riot Gun, and popularly as the “Trench Gun” or “Trench Broom” due to its prominent use in the trenches of World War 1, is a pump-action shotgun with a tube magazine and an external hammer. Used to devastating effect as a close-quarters weapon in the First World War, the “Trench Broom” was reliable even under adverse conditions and highly effective in the tight confines of the trenches, especially when loaded with buckshot. Over a million of these guns were produced and the M97 remains a popular shotgun today; if you’re here for Winchester Model 97 parts you’re in the right place.
