M7

The M7 bayonet, introduced during the Vietnam War in 1964 for the M16 rifle, somewhat resembles the M4 that predated it and which was in service during the Korean War. It sports the same basic blade profile and plastic grips, with the same lever lock that’s easier to use with gloved hands, with a release on the pommel. Like the M1 and M4, it could be removed from the rifle and used free as a fighting knife or a utility knife.
