A very rare accessory, this canvas & leather backpack held 12 - 20rd. .30-06 magazines for use with the awesome M1941 Johnson light machine gun, which saw use in WW2 and Korea with different forces including the Dutch Army, U.S/Canadian 1st Special Service Force Commando, U.S. Marines, and Philippine Army. In 'post war' years, had its final 'hurrah' at the 'Bay of Pigs'. The backpacks were made in limited numbers in both leather and in canvas with leather corners. Very seldom found in the surplus or collector's market ! These are newly manufactured with steel hardware. Very limited. First time offered !
