Though the M14 was America’s last battle rifle (being replaced by the M16, which has served ever since), the M14 still serves for a variety of ceremonial purposes. Others compete with the platform, and despite the old gripes about brittle receivers and the difficulty of controlling recoil, exceptional accuracy keeps the rifle popular for sport and competition. If you have an M14 in need of a new barrel, we have them here. These M14 barrels (.308) are brand new and made by one of the best barrel manufacturers in the United States.

M14 Barrel
Great shooting barrel at a great price. Seeing 10 round groups from 1.1-1.5 inches at 100yds, which is awesome for a GI profile button rifled barrel on an as issued style setup. I like to do some run and gun and night shooting, in addition to some mid range, so no need for a heavy, expensive match barrel here. Needed about ten thousand cut with a finish reamer to get headspace, which is fine. Timed up good, installed in a few minutes.

M14 Barrel .308, Brand New
Your experiance may be different than mine. Upon unrapping the first thing I noticed was that that was no stampings (drawing number, mfg or date of mfg etc.). Second, the gas cylinder bearing surface had a significant surface defect at the location of the gas port hole. I almost stopped right here but I decided to check the bore and chamber for grins. The bore appeared average with the gas port located in a groove. The chamber appeared to be a typical short chamber to allow for custom head spacing. Scoring rings were present and I am unsure if a finishing reamer would have cleaned these up. IMO the barrel is a new mfg reject barrel. A barrel one could use but not one the maker would be willing to put their name on and one I will not use.
