    Sharp pointy thing for AR-15

Posted by David on Oct 23rd 2025

Yep, it's sharp and pointy and fit pretty well on my AR-15 with the bayonet lug. Just a hair loose, but any tighter would probably require some fitting. Look, if things are so bad that you are down to sticking a knife on the end of your rifle, I don't think you are going to worry about a little bit of loose fit. Looked brand new, was even sharpened. Pleased with what I got for the cost of just $35.

    Late Production M7 AR15 & M16 Bayonet

A great product and addition to my M4-configuration AR-15. Since my barrel is carbine length with shorter hand guard, I did have to invest in bayonet lug extension.
    Looks great on the rifle!

The good, the bad, the ugly. You decide.

I’ll start off by saying, for the money this bayonet is pretty decent but far from the old school original when it comes to fit and finish. That being said, those are far more expensive. This was under $50 shipped at time of purchase so take that into consideration. As soon as I opened the box, the first thing I noticed was the typical musty surplus smell coming off the sheath “which was cool” then the difference in weight compared to the original. Also it felt loose and the grips were rattling. After a quick disassembly for inspection, two washers randomly popped out of nowhere after I removed the first grip panel. No biggie. After reassembly I just made sure to torque everything down and it stopped rattling. Cool. Little fun fact, you’re going to see M7 and Imperial stampings which I thought was amusing. Again, for the money, for someone like me that majority of my rifles are what most would consider budget/entry-level builds that’s fine by me. I purchased this because I recently finished my PSA FN 20in upper build. Snapped right on with no issues and gave it that little something extra I was looking for. Will this stand the test of time? Who knows? I’m not planning on randomly throwing my rifle at things trying to break it so generally speaking I think it will. I hope this review helps someone and big thanks to SARCO. You guys are Awesome!
