L1A1 Wood Buttstock

The two I got looked like they sat on the rack for years. A few compression dents. One had a 3" crack from the upper large hole from the stock tang, but that can be fixed. That stock was dated 1958. The other was lighter walnut and had pretty mineral lines. It was stamped N on the bottom. Both got cleaned with alcohol and then turpentine before getting most of their small dents popped up with wet/hot iron. Next step is dewhiskering with bronze wool. Mine were much, much nicer than the pic above, but you take your chances, and I rolled sevens this time.
