Every soldier’s favorite pack’ from the Vietnam era, was the M1961 ‘Buttpack’. Other military organizations adopted it such as the Greek Army. These packs are original Greek Army surplus and are identical to the U.S. pack with the exception that the flap does not have a U.S. marking. A U.S. rubber stamp can fix this if you are looking only for U.S. marked gear. The pack itself has suspender holes and clips as well as the two ‘Alice Clips’ that facilitate connection to the pistol or cartridge belt. The ‘pack’ sports the same heavy duty olive drab canvas , grommets, and internal water resistant skirt on the inside of the pouch. The outside of the canvas pouch looks ‘excellent’ to ‘like new’. The top sleeve pouch with clear plastic window is also present and in excellent shape. Much nicer than the reproduction pouches on the market ! As usual these Army surplus gems represent incredible value and versatility as well as durable construction at a steeply discounted price. They also offer a lot of use cases: These make great little paniers for bikes, cycles, and off road vehicles. Get one yourself before they sell out..
