Protect your wooden stock from high humidity and temperature swings, keep it clean after use, and treat the wood periodically with a stock wax or oil specifically intended for the application. And as always, store your rifle in a safe that’s protected against high humidity and extreme temperatures, which can cause the wood to swell, warp, crack, and even rot.
