Bayonet Project
I bought two of these for my two M1903s. Instead of hacking it at the hilt, I cut it so I could have the stamp of the original bayonet and cut the new bayonet to size. Worked out pretty well except the fuller and new bayonet were a different size. I was able to grind it down to make it look like the original.

1905 Bayonet Project
The bayonet came out really nice. Functions perfectly on my M1 rifle and 1903A3. I will probably purchase a couple more.

Bayonet project
After cutting to length, I had it welded. Had to thin the blade near the base to get the guard on. Very pleased with the outcome. Thinking of doing another one.

M1905 bayonet kit
I think it came out great. Welded the original guard pin holes shut before drilling new then burnt paint off the guard before install steel pins. I sanded then used vinegar and cold blue to age the blade. Added some duress and use marks to blade and handles. It looks original can barely make out the weld line if you are looking for it. The plastic scabbard is functional and looks decent, but still experimenting with aging techniques on it. I will definitely be doing a few more of these. This is a great deal and very fun project I wish I could share a picture. Miller
