1903 Springfield “BAR STOOL” Stocks
new65.jpg (14244 bytes) Here is a neat project for the home handyman.   We have a big pile of unissued condition G.I. 1903 Springfield walnut stocks that were modified years ago to make into bar stools!  Ouch!  What a waste of good stocks!  The stocks were shortened and notched to hold a seat and foot rest ring (not included).  The fellow who was doing this went out of business and we bought all of his stock “legs”.  To illustrate the concept we have made up a simple bar stool so you can see the possibilities.  It is a shame he cut the stocks, as they were new, unissued G.I. 1903 stocks, but his loss can be your gain. Add a swivel seat of your choice to the top. All stocks have been precut and drilled. You have to make 2 circular or octagonal spacers.
