BACK TO THE THRILLING DAYS OF YESTERYEAR!
Capture the romance of the Old West!  Return to the exciting days when bandits held up trains and stagecoaches, and would holler, "THROW DOWN THE GOLD CHEST!"

Western Memorabilia collectors! At last you can own a genuine original gold chest from the days of Wells Fargo, American Express, Adams Express, and Railway Express.

These chests are strapped iron and most have brass hinges.  They have huge crossbolt locks and were individually made by blacksmiths in the latter part of the 1800's.

WESTERN AMERICANA has been fortunate enough to obtain ALL the available chests with the exception of the few that went to Express Co. executives.  When these are gone, there will be no more available.  We expect these pieces to be worth $1,000 or more in the future.  In addition to being a true part of the American Western scene, the boxes also make excellent storage chests for ammo, powder, guns, etc.  They also make beautiful end or coffee tables.  Chests are available in 3 sizes: small (24"x15"x15), medium (27"x16"x16"), and large (32"x18"x18").

Note: These are all original Express Co. Chests from the late 1800's. The various companies left were absorbed through the years and all chests were assimilated into one system, from which we were fortunate to obtain the chests.

Someone has thoughtfully removed the locks.  So price is only...MISC002 $395.00 each (F.O.B. Stirling, NJ)
